Foot drop is a condition where there is loss of strength in the lower leg and foot making it very difficult or impossible to flex your foot. The condition is usually caused by either a pinched nerve in the low back or somewhere along the nerve or even into the foot.
After Mr. S. was diagnosed with this condition, walking was difficult and playing sports such as golf was impossible. After trying conventional medical approaches nothing seemed to be working and he thought it was a permanent condition in which he was going to have to live with.
After starting treatment at this office, we used progressive equipment to stimulate healing of the nerve including cold laser therapy, a Pulsed Magnetic Generator and Interex electrical muscle stimulation. Between all of these modalities and adjusting the nerve root in the spine great thing started to happen.
Mr. S. now has almost full strength back in his foot and is able to walk normally. Even his neurologist was quite astounded by the short amount of time and the level of strength back in his foot. It’s time to play golf!
